Orland Park, IL (August 13, 2018) –– Marquette Bank, a locally-owned neighborhood bank and the banking subsidiary of Marquette National Corporation (MNAT), was awarded its ninth consecutive Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) ‘Outstanding’ rating, the highest performance rating, from the U.S. Federal Reserve Bank during its most recent evaluation period.

“Marquette Bank is a neighborhood bank. Since our founding in 1945, we have been an active participant in our communities and neighborhoods in Chicagoland. This extended streak of ‘Outstanding’ CRA ratings reflects our commitment to our clients, local residents, small businesses and the communities we serve,” said George Moncada, President and CEO of Marquette Bank

The CRA evaluation measured Marquette Bank's performance with respect to addressing the credit needs in its assessment area, including serving low- and moderate-income individuals, neighborhoods and businesses. The CRA examination consisted of performance tests in three categories: lending, community investment and service.

This ninth consecutive “Outstanding” CRA performance rating places Marquette Bank in an elite group of financial institutions in the United States by demonstrating its ability to be a leader in identifying and helping to meet the credit needs of its communities for over 18 years.

Marquette Bank has a long history of partnering with local non-profits, community groups and social service organizations to bring financial education to local residents through seminars and free financial planning. The bank’s employee volunteer initiative completes over 60 service projects each year. Marquette Bank Education Foundation’s scholarship program awards over 50 local scholarships annually and has helped almost 1,700 students since 1967.
