Winter Is Coming. Is Your House Ready?

  • Inspect and replace weather stripping around windows and doors.

  • Wrap exterior pipes to prevent freezing.

  • Trim dead tree branches.

  • Clean gutters & downspouts.

  • Stock up on emergency supplies in case of winter storms or power outages.

  • Test your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and change the batteries.

  • Check fire extinguishers and replace if needed. If you have a fireplace or will be burning a lot of candles, stash a small extinguisher in reach of those areas.

  • Remove lint from the dryer by vacuuming the hose and vent, as well as under and behind the dryer.
