Marquette acts as a client’s financial record keeper, taking all investment direction from the client. This frees the client from the detailed recordkeeping requirements that an investment portfolio may require. We hold assets in safekeeping, collect/disburse cash and securities, can pay client bills for them, issue client statements, provide annual tax information and invest cash in high quality short-term institutional investments.

Typical clients could include:

  • Older clients and/or their children who wish to have assets housed at one location and have the custodian pay some or all of their bills and help coordinate the financial recordkeeping.
  • Investors looking for an open architecture investment platform with little or no transaction/execution costs on trades.
  • Individual executor or successor trustee looking for an agent to collect assets and provide recordkeeping services during the administration period.
  • Investors with multiple advisor relationships who wish to hold the securities at one location, execute trades through a directed broker and receive one monthly statement.
