Marquette Bank Offers Scholarships to 64 High School Seniors through Annual Scholarship Program

Release date: 1/30/2026

ORLAND PARK, IL. (January 26, 2026) – Marquette Bank, a locally owned neighborhood bank, has announced the continuation of the Marquette Bank Education Foundation Scholarship Program for 64 Chicagoland High Schools— and this year comes with exciting news! This year, the scholarship amount has been increased to $3,000, giving students an even greater boost as they continue their education. Since awarding its first scholarships in 1968, the program has proudly upheld a long-standing tradition of supporting graduating seniors from schools within Marquette Bank’s neighborhood footprint.

These scholarships are awarded to students who have an outstanding record of community service, demonstrate financial need, and maintain at least a “B” average throughout high school. Since 1968, more than $4 million has been awarded to over 2,000 Chicagoland high school seniors — and the impact continues to grow.

"Investing in scholarships for students is investing in the future of our neighborhoods, fostering hope and opportunities that uplift entire communities," stated Christie Cox, First Vice President
Director of Neighborhood. “Scholarships are not just financial aid, they are pathways to opportunities that can transform lives."

Students are invited to apply for the scholarship through their school’s guidance department. Scholarship recipients are selected by their own school’s principal, guidance counselors or a principal-appointed committee. The scholarship can be used to cover expenses at any higher education program, including four-year colleges and universities, community colleges, vocational training or trade schools.
